chemical peel for face
Have you ever had a chemical peel?

how safe is a chemical peel on your face? How did it help your skin? Did th effects last? What are the dangers and side effects?
How much did cost….and what kind of dr do you have to go to for the procedure…or is it done at a spa?

I’m a licensed aesthetician and have received and given several chemical peels. They are extremely safe on the right candidate (not pregnant, not sunburnt, not the wrong skintype, etc…). It helped my skin by even exfoliation of the dead skin and plumping of the dermal layers beneath the epidermis. It also created a supple glow to my entire face. The effects continue to last because a change was made and I continued to care for my skin after each peel. Dangers and side effects can be long if you go to someone not trained to perform chemical peels or if the practitioner chooses to perform a peel that is not suitable to your skin type and tone. They can include: redness, swelling, itching, pinpoint bleeding, pigmentation problems post peel. Peels usually run from $75-$500 depending on the peel and how many layers are applied. A dermatologist and/or plastic surgeon are needed to perform medium to deep level peels (the kind where they knock you out to apply). A spa with a licensed aesthetician with additional certificates for chemical peels should be sought out for simple to medium depth peels. In my experience, I LOVE Physicians Choice of Arizona products. Find a spa in your area that provides these peels by checking out www.pcaskin.com. The UltraPeel and the SensiPeel are two of my favs and they can be used on practically anyone and I’ve never seen a bad peel from these products…EVER! Good luck and feel free to contact me.

Breast Implants – What Do Men Think?

As a woman considering breast implants, for enhancement or restorative reasons, you might be wondering what men really think about them.

First, you should understand that this is a very common thing to be wondering about men’s thoughts on breast implants is completely normal and natural. Women who have an augmentation do so for themselves, for their own self-image and self-esteem, but many women do make their decisions after consultation with the men in their lives.

Just as all women are individuals so are all men. Men come in all shapes, sizes, and preferences when it comes to how they like the women in their lives to look. While one man may love a woman with a large chest, another may very well prefer a woman with a smaller one. When it comes to the men in our lives, their opinions run the full gamut as well.

You will find, in talking with men, that some appreciate a large bust size whether it is natural or from surgical enhancement. These men appreciate simply the look of large breasts and are not concerned with hoe they got to be that way; for them, the bigger the better.

Then there is another group of men who appreciate a more natural woman and would prefer that women don’t get implants unless there are extraordinary circumstances.

These men tend to be sensitive to the fact the breast augmentation is major surgery and comes with the associated risks. They would prefer the woman in their lives to simply keep the body she was born with, with exception to a serious breast defect or other concern to be corrected through surgery.

The truth of the matter is that many women choose to have an augmentation to help themselves feel better about their bodies and so that their clothing will fit better.

Unfortunately, in today’s society, breast size has a lot to do with the clothing you can wear off of the rack and how you are viewed by other people, both men and women alike. Men can respect this about a woman and many of them will be supportive whatever her choice might be regarding the surgery.

The easy answer to the question “what do men think about breast implants and the women who have them” is simply that it depends on the man.

However, if you are considering breast implants and the man in your life is showing apprehension, you can help to put their mind at ease by finding a board certified plastic surgeon that you can both go to for a consultation.

This will allow your husband or boyfriend to ask the doctor any questions which he might have and help him to feel better about whatever decision you ultimately make.

And, of course, the most important thing is that your decision to have or not have breast augmentation is completely up to you.
