my nose job story
question regarding my nose surgery.?

Few days ago I did a nose job. I have a flat and broad nose so I got a silicone implant inserted in my nose to form a bridge and to make my nose not so broad. Now I am still under recovery.

Anyway, I have also came across this forum where everybody talks about their nose surgery. I read this story written by a 47 year old mother saying that she got her nose job done 24 years ago and after 2 years her nose just collapsed and she said it makes her nose look like a pig nose. She got it fix and years later her nose collapsed again. I don’t think she get a silicone implant inserted.

My question is, after reading this. It really scares me. Will this happen to me? Or are the surgeon back in those days are not so skillful? Is there anybody that did the SAME surgery as me face this kind of problem or any other problem?

Your replies are very much appreciated. thx

There are always going to be horror stories out there (especially on the Internet)- but there is a very very slim likelihood of that happening to you. Surgeons know what they are doing and are monitoring your progress- I think you should be fine.

I had a college friend who got a nose job right after graduation- she looks amazing and has healed absolutely fine and had no problems in the 2 years since!

I’m not an expert on plastic surgery, by any means, but hundreds of thousands of nose jobs are done every year and it’s a one in a million shot that something that bad will go wrong. The lady you are talking about probably got hers done a long time ago and from a less-reputeable surgeon.
