white stains on teeth?

is there any way to get rid of white stains on teeth? i got my braces off 3 years ago, and there are a few teeth that have white stains on them, in kind of a half circle where the top of the bracket would have been.

i was always told my brushing was good, but i guess not good enough. thank goodness my two front teeth don’t have stains on them, but do you think that they might go away if I whiten them professionally at the dentist’s office? i have a regular cleaning in a few weeks so i’m going to ask, but was just wondering if anyone has any personal experience with the matter. thanks!

p.s. i’ve done crest whitestrips a couple of time, and they helped a little but if professional whitening would be better, than maybe i’ll try that sometime.

I had the same problem but over time the spots went away on their own. I didn’t try whitening to get rid of the contrast because I have sensitive teeth. You should ask your dentist or orthedontist what they reccomend. I’m sure they would be able to come up with a treatment plan for you!
