best face lift in a bottle
Santa and Mrs. Claus made from dish-washing soap bottles??
Years ago, my mother had a Santa and Mrs. Claus made from dishwashing soap bottles. That was back with the bottles were taller. They had pre-made faces and hair like what is available in the craft stores but their bodies were composed of a Dawn dishwashing soap bottle. Technically, I’m only certain that Mrs. Claus was made from the bottle because she was wearing a dress and you could see the bottle if you lifted it. (I wasn’t allowed to play with these) I am wondering if anyone has seen these and knows how to make them. My mother loved them and I would like to make a set for her for Christmas.
I just saw these sewn “aprons” at a craft show I went to yesterday. They had all different kinds of aprons tied over dish soap bottles. No heads/arms attached, but that is a really cute idea. You can probably get the pattern for the aprons through McCalls or Simplicity pattern books. If you don’t see them, ask someone at a fabric store, they can probably help you.
